This Link 16 JTIDS | MIDS Training | Intro/Intermediate/Advanced Level training course takes the student with little or no previous knowledge to a high level of theoretical competence. This user / operator orientated course covers the basics such as Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), architecture and Link 16 messages as well as the more operational aspects such as employment methods and network management. Message transactions are demonstrated using the Diginext TACTX simulator. Other important areas such as Interoperability and Weapons Management are also covered. Although widely used for some time throughout the US and NATO, this Tactical Data Link (TDL) is still seen as the future for Air Defence Command and Control Operations for the foreseeable future.
